Finally!!
Almost done with the seven string! Wow! Oh Happy Day! Really I can't believe that this guitar came out so nice. Sometimes you just have to go for it and hope for the best. She sounds very good, and will stay together for quite a few more years. I hope she finds someone to play her and take her out once in awhile. Guitars die from lonelyness. Just bhave to adjust one tuning peg, and find a string for the 7th, Then back to her owner. Just came to the shop a 66 SG, stripped, broken neck, a few not so great repairs done in the past. Photos coming when I have time to start......

Finished top bracing of the 7 string.Sometimes I wonder why I was driven to save this guitar. I guess I like doing things the hard way. Potting an old tele pickup.Fender potted it when it was made, but you can see by the bubbles coming out that they didn't do it very long. It spent about an hour in the bath before the bubbles stopped. No more microphonics!! After all that, a break at my favorite outdoor bar, drinking a vermouth. Ahhhh

Getting There
Finally starting to put things together on the 7 string. I put lower 'kite' braces. Although not original, the top is Very thin and needs more support. Also a bridge patch, not original either. This guitar has to resist 7 strings. Custom bent and laminated the missing piece of lining, and the top is now reglued.

Back from vacations, and back to work with the 7 string. Latest updetes, shortend up the sides a little for a better fit for the back and top bindings. And with a soft brush, I was actually able to clean off the paper repair over the lable. More coming soon......Also a photo of Sebastian with his newly finished classical. Nice Job!!!

Restoration Time
Once in awhile someone brings a project. This guitar is a 7 string classical,Brazilian rosewood, around 60 or 80 years old. Has a number of old repairs, and longtimehotstorage problems. I'll try and keep up with this restoration because it's a good example,(I hope), of how to give some more years to a nice guitar
